Afra and Tobia Scarpa are an Italian duo who both graduated in Architecture at the University IUAV in Venice, and they have been working together since 1957. They have won awards for their post-modern architecture, and for their work as designers, from the Compasso d’Oro 1969 to the iF Product Design Award 1992. They are known for their noteworthy creations for Cassina and Knoll, and collaborated with Benetton on several projects including the firm's first textile factory in Treviso (1964), and the interiors of Benetton’s Paris and Freiburg offices (1980) and New York office (1986). Their works have been featured in museums and galleries around the world including the Louvre Museum in Paris, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the National Museum of Design and the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
